.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to acquire john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level names remained functional.

Through our company, you can grab your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special stipulations on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
