A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s stunningly easy to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires one more click on the same button.
